Children are welcome in worship! There is a Children’s Sermon almost every Sunday. A “crying room” at the back of the Sanctuary helps parents stay connected with worship while letting little ones play.
Grace follows a usual Lutheran worship format rich with Scripture, Song, Prayer and Preaching.
Be sure to get a bulletin from one of the ushers so that you can follow along with each element of the service. Sunday School is held between services, so your children can worship with you.
Much of the service is printed in the bulletin, but for hymns and for the Holy Communion portion of the service you’ll be using the red Evangelical Lutheran Worship book which you’ll find in each pew. The page numbers refer to the front part of the book, and the hymns are in the back. Music is a key part of our worship service, with typically 5 or more hymns sung at each service.
All who are baptized and believe Jesus is present in the bread and wine are welcomed to the Lord’s Table as we celebrate the sacrament. We offer wine from the pouring chalice (on either side of the altar rail) or the common cup (served only from the altar rail on the right side of the sanctuary). The pre-filled glasses contain grape juice, rather than wine.
After each service, you are invited to visit our spacious Fellowship Hall for conversation, coffee, tea, and buttered rolls.
So come visit Grace any Sunday, sign our Visitor’s book if you wish, select a pew and worship with us!
